Makerspace
Location: Sustainability, Research, and Engineering (SRE) - 101
The Makerspace is a part of the Rapid Prototyping Services with the School of Engineering; our goal is to provide users with an open space to work on any project. The space currently supports projects that need 3D printing, laser cutting, soldering, electronic testing, 3D scanning, vinyl cutting and basic/power tooling. The facility is open to all UC Merced affiliates inculding undergraduate/graduate students, faculty, and staff to support your creative projects! Currently, users will need to provide their own material to work on their projects but using the equipment is free!
Book a Training Time to reinforce your learning for 3D Printers, Laser Cutters, and more!
USERS WITH TRAINING BEFORE 9/15/2025: You will need to complete the updated procedure to continue printing in the Makerspace!
Our Rapid Prototyping Services also support projects for research, clubs, courses, and other departments; please send an inquiry to soeinstructional@ucmerced.edu!
