There are several training requirements that must be met prior to conducting any work in the instructional lab spaces.
These include:
- Lab Safety Fundamentals
- Fire Safety
- Hazmat Spill Response
In addition to these requirements, the instructional lab staff will provide a room-specific orientation and training on the equipment required for the work.
Lab safety fundamentals and hazmat spill response can be completed online through the UC Learning Center. Fire safety has an initial in-person class with hands-on training for fire extinguisher use and online recertification.
