Instructional Lab Space Rules

Prior to working in any instructional lab space, you will need to agree to abide by the following rules. These are general rules and should not be considered exhaustive. The details of your project may require additional rules.

  • No eating or drinking while in the instructional lab spaces.
  • Wear proper attire, closed-toe shoes, no loose clothing, long hair should be kept back. Common PPE such as goggles, gloves and a lab coat must be worn for any work in the lab spaces.
  • Do not use equipment you have not been trained on.
  • Do not remove equipment or supplies from the room.
  • Do not allow unauthorized guests into the rooms.
  • Per EHS guidelines you may not work alone.
