The MakerGear-M2 3D printer utilizes Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) printing technology to create 3D models from PLA, ABS, TPU, and other composite filaments. With its steel frame and CNC machined cast aluminum construction, the M2 is engineered and manufactured to provide industrial level precision with a small footprint. The 3D printer has a maximum build volume of 20.0 cm (8") x 25.0 cm (10") x 20.0 cm (8") and a layer resolution of < 50 micron- 0.25 mm with a 0.35 mm nozzle, dependent on the material used. These printers are used primarily in the Rapid Prototyping Lab to support undergraduate and graduate projects and research.
